This fall, Alpha Delta Pi teamed up with Farmhouse and Tau Kappa Epsilon during the annual Homecoming competition. Each MU sorority is paired with one or more fraternities to compete in categories including service, skit, the blood drive, float, house decorations and special events. Our theme this year was Monopoly, which we incorporated into our various projects. The following pictures show only a smattering of all the fun activities Homecoming brings to Mizzou Greek Life!
Our banner placed second overall!
These house decorations (or 'house decs') are the result of hours of pomping - a process that includes wrapping tissue paper around a pencil and gluing the small circles to wooden boards. Our pairing placed third in house decs.
All three of the chapters put in countless hours to make the pomping look this good!
Skit is one of the most elaborate parts of Homecoming. Each pairing performs a 12-minute skit including two dances, a remixed song with our own lyrics and carious references to pop culture. Sophomores Madison Alewel and Merritt Moll, pictured, went back in time to save Mizzou Homecoming traditions from the evil Oklahoma Sooners during our skit, "No Free Parking, Tigers Walk."
Juniors Emily Lincoln, Shannon McDaniel, Roxanne Henry and Paige Reeves were some of the elite few who danced in the skit.
Freshmen Ellen Campbell, Stephanie Graflage and Anna McFarland show their Mizzou and ADPi spirit for the parade Saturday morning!
Freshman Ashley Arp, Jennifer Bauman and Liz Huck are ready to march in their first Mizzou Homecoming parade!
Our float for the Homecoming parade also incorporated Monopoly and placed fourth overall. The fountain in Tiger Plaza even have real running water!
