Lending a Helping Hand Over Spring Break

Early Saturday morning 21 of our wonderful sisters piled into cars and drove to Foley Alabama to begin working on houses with Habitat for Humanity. This is the second time that women of the Alpha Gamma chapter have given up their spring break to go and lend a hand to others. The women of ADPI worked Monday through Friday from 9 to 2 to help build a house in a special Habitat for Humanity neighborhood for a single mother and her two children.   The women of Alpha Gamma caulked seams, put up siding and insulation, painted, helped with electrical as well as completed plumbing work in the house. On Wednesday, they had the opportunity to help in the Habitat ReStore, which collects donations of housing supplies and resells them at a profit for Habitat for Humanity. There, they organized and sorted donations. Overall the women of Alpha Gamma chapter enjoyed helping others on their spring break and are excited to see where Habitat for Humanity will have them going next year!
