Mizzou '39 Recipients

Our chapter is so excited to have had two amazing members, Molly Boland and Julie Ronzio, selected for Mizzou ’39, which honors 39 of the University of Missouri’s most outstanding seniors.

Molly Boland

A broadcast journalism major from Chesterfield, MO, Molly plans to work in St. Louis or Colorado as a media and public relations representative after she graduates in May. She loves traveling, being outdoors, skiing, and spending time with her family.
As an Alpha Delta Pi, she has been a GAMMA and Greek Week liaison, Philanthropy Chair, Recruitment Vice President, and is currently one of the top 32 Greek Week royalty representatives. Her favorite memories of ADPi (besides getting her bid) have been winning Homecoming 2008 and 2011 and Greek Week 2010 and 2011. Obviously very involved within the chapter, Molly says her favorite thing about ADPi is the freedom to have always been involved. She also loves the fact that “when our girls speak, our sisters listen.” She loves a chapter in which so many voices are heard.
Outside of ADPi, Molly has been involved with Center Stage, GAMMA and Greek Week Steering Committee, various blood and food drives, the Wellness Resource Center, Race for the Cure, The McCabridge Center, Griffith’s Leadership Society, KOMU, and Missouri Girls Town.
Molly feels very blessed she was chosen for Mizzou ’39 and feels honored to be among the most successful student leaders on campus. When she found out she had been selected, she “got the chills, started crying, then got the chills again.”
“I feel like I’m the luckiest girl standing on top of the world and I’m so grateful for this amazing honor. It was beyond unexpected and I’ll never forget it…I spent my college years doing exactly what I was supposed to do and I am truly a tiger for life.”
Julie Ronzio
Julie is an elementary education major from St. Louis. After graduation, she plans on becoming a teacher or going to graduate school to get her master’s degree in elementary education curriculum and instruction. She says she is excited to finally begin her dream career as a teacher. She loves scrapbooking, baking, running, and shopping.
In ADPi, she has held the positions of Formal Recruitment Chair, Pride Leader, Food Committee Chair, Homecoming Blood Drive Liaison, and Historian. Her favorite memory of ADPi is dancing and singing with her sisters to Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” at our chapter’s various socials. Her favorite thing about being an Alpha Delta Pi is her sisters, who she says are incredible women she is proud to call her sisters and best friends. She said these women have changed her life.
Outside of ADPi, Julie has been a Summer Welcome Leader and a College of Education Ambassador, as well as involved in Pi Lambda Theta Honors Fraternity, College of Education Student Council, Caring for Columbia, Dance Marathon, Chancellor’s Leadership Class, and Lead Mizzou.
Julie believes she was selected for Mizzou ’39 because of her achievements in academics, leadership, and service to Mizzou and the community. She said she was absolutely shocked when she found out she was chosen.
“I was so happy that I began to cry after reading the email. I am extremely honored and thankful for this award!”
Congratulations girls! We are so proud of you!
